Bigger and Better Premises for Camvex

After almost 17 years in Carnegie, Camvex has relocated to larger premises at 1860 Dandenong Road, Clayton.

The Carnegie premises served us well for many years but could no longer accommodate our growth. The Clayton premises boasts a CCTV facility on a scale not seen before in Australia.

The new CCTV showroom is not only the largest in Australia, but the most comprehensive facility for evaluating CCTV products and technology.

It will have 56 CCTV cameras, up to 13 IP cameras, matrix switching equipment, point of sale interfacing products and more than 6 brands of digital video recorders on display. It is possible to compare different models of cameras and digital video recorders objectively in a controlled environment.

It is possible to demonstrate video remote access over a choice of transmission mediums including LAN, ADSL and PSTN.

We have 2 ADSL services installed to allow a demonstration of an ADSL to ADSL connection into cameras and digital video recorders in the showroom.

This allows us to see the benefits of a broadband connection and compare the performance of different products more easily and conclusively.

A new larger workshop has been built at the Clayton premises and resourced to ensure exceptional customer service for our clients.

The workshop has equipment and personnel to support all CCTV solutions including both video and IT

Sanyo: Affordable Quality CCTV

Sanyo appointed Camvex an authorised dealer of their CCTV product range in early 2002.

Since the relationship commenced we have installed hundreds of Sanyo cameras for our clients in many applications.

We have been very impressed with the performance, quality and reliability of the Sanyo product.

Sanyo manufactures a range of high resolution 520TVL colour cameras that are ideal for applications that require quality images.

Product Feature: Sanyo Day/Night Camera

Sanyo was one of the first manufacturers of Day/Night cameras.

They provide a colour image when there is sufficient light and switch to a more sensitive B/W mode under lower light levels.

SanyoÕs VCC-4592P (12VDC) and VCC-4594P (24VAC) Day/Night cameras have taken this technology to a new level of performance.

The cameras offer an unprecedented 520TVL horizontal resolution down to 0.6lux in colour mode and 0.03lux in the B/W mode.

The cameras has a proprietory auto-switching infrared cut filter. As more precise colour reproduction is essential in the colour operation mode, the filter is turned on. In the B/W mode, clear, bright images are produced by switching the filter from colour to the B/W mode.

The cameras utilise a 1/3" CCD sensor that has anti-smear characteristics that are useful when viewing the number plates of vehicles while head lights are on.

It also has a new DSP circuitry that provides excellent colour reproduction and has intelligent backlight compensation.
