Camvex Video Surveillance Systems was established in 1987 as a specialist provider of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) for the Australian end-user market.

Initially Camvex focused on promoting the benefits of CCTV to convenience stores and service stations. In the first few years Camvex installed hundreds of cameras enabling store owners to improve their profits by reducing theft by staff, customers and vendors. These systems also assisted them to reduce risk with being targeted for armed robbery.

During the last 17 years CCTV has become an important tool for improving security, safety and profitability for many types of businesses and organizations.
